My current interest is bringing the acquisition of the direct
experience of Self on all levels into mainstream thinking, as a clinical and a
spiritual discipline, as a natural evolution from ego psychology and Object
Relations Theory, the Buddhist emphasis on Emptiness and the Void, and the
direct experience of the transcendent Manifest Self as in Advaita (Ramana and
Nisargadatta), Kashmir Shaivism (Muktananda), and the transcendent Noumenal
Self (The knower of immanence and transcendence). And promoting a method of
loving introspection of the sense of I, or I-Amness, in order to discover the
Self within, the experience of which is of Existence/Self-Knowledge/Bliss,
Satchitananda.
